Dear Friend,
If you're like most beginning musicians, you're struggling to learn music theory -- how melodies, songs, and chords are formed AND how to use music theory to your advantage when it comes to playing piano by ear. Whether you've wrestled with self-help books, "how-to" videos, and music training manuals - or have taken personal music lessons - some of you have been disappointed.
To be quite frank, learning the piano is not an easy task. It requires a great level of understanding, application, and commitment. In fact, it can never be totally mastered. That is, a musician can always seek to learn new things --- whether it be an unused chord progression, unfamiliar music theory, or exploring different genres of music ... there's always room for improvement and exploration!
You don't know me yet, I realize, but I'd hate to think of you wasting your time and money on learning to play piano by ear only to find that your approach was flawed from the beginning. Simply put, either you were learning techniques that have little or nothing to do with the type of music you want to play, courses that hardly teach you the basics of what you want to learn, or videos that require you to simply imitate what the instructor is doing, neglecting the theory behind it.
